August Storck counts on Pathfinder

The AUGUST STORCK KG has been producing high-quality chocolates and confectionery for decades. Started in 1903 as a candy manufacturer, the company is still family-owned today and is now one of the largest confectionery manufacturers in the world. More than 100 countries worldwide are supplied with Storck brands and products.

We are very pleased to announce that the IT specialists at August Storck KG will be relying on Pathfinder from now on. Digitalization is of course also changing confectionery production. Industry 4.0 paves the way for smart factories. In order for production processes at August Storck KG to be optimized, the IT infrastructure must be redundant and fail-safe.

A comprehensively documented IT infrastructure of the entire plant site is the foundation for this and also a fundamental requirement for the digitization, monitoring and control of the production processes. Pathfinder 3.0 will be used from now on for network and IT documentation.

One initial focus is on documenting the factory site, including all production-relevant buildings and operation-relevant IT assets. The IT documentation is not limited to local area networks, but must also take into account and map wide area networks (WAN). The factory’s IT infrastructure must be fully visible for operational control. In addition to all the above, Pathfinder also facilitates, for example, the integration of building plans or the documentation of industrial wireless LAN systems.

We wish August Storck KG every success and look forward to working with them.
