German Aerospace Center uses Pathfinder

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is now using Pathfinder for network and IT documentation. The DLR is the national aeronautics and space research centre of the Federal Republic of Germany. For the DLR a comprehensive network documentation turns into a central IT management tool when it comes to assess IT processes, decide on investment and migration, and analyse access rights or network loads. The IT infrastructure of the German Aerospace Center supplies about 6,500 employees at twenty national and four international locations. Initially, Pathfinder will be used primarily at the headquarters in Cologne, Germany.

Pathfinder focuses on documenting information about the physical state of the network. This focus convinced IT decision makers and users at DLR. The administrators of the German Aerospace Center receive a tool with Pathfinder, which supports the daily work fast and meaningfully – without tedious training phases. We look forward to working with another research center.
